AQUASEEL:
Pumps used for Hydraulic Ash Handling & Dredging systems are rugged pumps for efficient performance, long life economical operation designed to handle pieces of solid material.
The intial high efficiency of the pump and characteristic are maintained due to the "AQUASEEL" principle which prevents abrasive material from entering and enlarging the running clearances between the rotating impeller and statioary parts, by a continuous flow of a small stream of clean water. The stream water pressure is regulated by a globe valve. A large number of these pumps have been working in various power stations since the Sixteen.
Variable Speed Drive : A special variable speed V-belt drive can be provided whereby pumps speeds may be adjusted within desired limits to improve the discharge which might have been reduced due to wear on the impeller, in course of time
Materials of construction Liquid End: All components in contact with water containing abrasive material are manufactured from high quality, abrasion resistant alloy-iron having a minimum Brinnel Hardness of 500. The Unusual resistance to wear and superior hardness of this material assures long life and improved resistance to the action of abrasive materials, resulting in substantial operating economies.
Efficiency : Liners and impellers are manufactured from special alloys to close tolerances, which allow to achieve very high efficency.
Shaft : A precision-machined, heavy duty, alloy-iron shaft ensures smooth-running operation to the AQUASEEL pump. The shaft is protected from any wear inside the gland by hard metallic sleeve.
Bearings : Extra large size heavy duty Bearings have been selected to support shaft, for extra long life requiring minimum of maintenance. FLOW MORE AQUASEAL pump are available in several sizes to cover practically all requirements of such pumps and in addition they are also available with variable speed units to permit variation of pump speed through V-Belt drive, to achieve better adaptation of the pumping capacity to the actual size condition.
